About Constantinos Efstathiou

Constantinos (Kostis) Efstathiou has extensive experience of crime Litigation. He is the first choice highly experienced defence Advocate for high-profile, sensitive and most difficult cases.

Kostis is regularly instructed in high-profile, complex and sensitive and often Cross-Border and International Cases. His extraordinary energy, humanity and compulsive attention to detail and tenacity means that he enjoys great success in defending his trials.

Kostis has developed a practice in Homicide offences including gang related murders, serious sexual abuse, fraud and Extradition trials.

He is an outstanding barrister who has an innate ability to bring warmth, humour and dry wit to even the most sensitive of cases. He is renowned for his passionate and persuasive opening and closing speeches.

Kostis also deals with matters concerning the European Union as his main Post Graduate Qualifications revolve around EU & Competition and is arguably one of the most academically accredited practicing Lawyer in Cyprus regarding EU Law and has appeared many times in both the ECJ and the ECHR bringing about Cases and binding Case-Law most of which are still good Law today.

Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus Rapporteur on the implementation of the European Court of Human Rights rulings of the Committee of Legal Affairs and Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
